Our one-of-a-kind retreat is all about helping you reach your goals faster and more effectively. We’ll give you the tools to build a solid foundation for a more vibrant and balanced life. We all want organic and chemical-free food and skincare products with less or no plastic at all, and we’re always looking for alternative approaches to make that happen. We’ve learned how damaging these hidden chemicals in our foods and products can be on our overall health and well-being; moods swings, cancers, skin problems, and so much more. Finding time to research what foods and products are clean can be overwhelming and difficult, so we’ve created five days of learning the best and most effective ways to make organic and natural changes a reality at home, and with ease.

First up, you’ll join Renee for a seeding workshop. Did you know that even the seeds you buy can have GMO’s in them? It’s true. If they come from fruits and vegetables grown with hormones and steroids then they’re in the seeds. You will learn what to avoid when looking for fruits and vegetables, and how to extract seeds from heirloom tomatoes and organically grown basil, watermelon and start your own chemical free garden that’s sustainable. By the end of the workshop you’ll understand the foundations of seeding and learn how to create your own at-home garden to make the most nourishing food. You’ll also be given organic seeds to take home with you and start your 2019 right.

In addition, Renee will walk you through how food can be used as a preventative medicine. You’ll learn how to fuel your body with nourishing-rich organic foods made on site with the expert herself! Plant- based diets can have powerful results on our overall health. So many of us are living with food allergies, mental and physical sluggishness and spending loads of money on supplements and vitamins to undo the damage. Let’s change that and eat for a vibrant life! Do you know what can happen if you just start eating 3 little papaya seeds a day? Come learn that and more!

After the storm here in Puerto Rico, I, like so many other people on the island, was craving fresh foods but our vegetation was wiped out. Many of us were used to waking up and grabbing bananas, mangos, avocados, and so much more from our yard but it was all gone. These were organically grown foods we could nourish our bodies with. Neighbours who are born and raised here didn’t even know about pesticides until the large chain stores brought them here 20 or so years ago. And for the most part they never attempted to use them. This was my source of information, I began questioning every older farmer on the island that I could. I knew how to maintain an organic garden that existed — like using beer to keep snails out — but I didn’t know how to start one. With my new gained information I went on a hunt.

September we have avocados some passion fruit left and papayas. I found broken and rotten fruits among the debris and began drying it out. I put avocado pits in brown paper bags and waited for the outer layer to crack. I took smelly calabaza pieces, pulled the seeds out in put them in dry sunny spots to dry. When they were ready to plant in the earth, I ground up sea shells that we used for compost and soon enough vines began to sprout! And with patience the fruits and veggies came back! We are putting so many things into our body that never were meant to be ingested. And when we take those things out we can capture more of the flavour! Food becomes juicier, more flavourful and can be used to fuel the body.

Next, learn how to master vegan soap making for you and your loved ones. Bethany from Barefoot Naturals, a botanical small-batch skincare company crafting solutions for sunny skin, will show you how to craft soap at-home with expert tips and tricks that will leave you feeling confident and inspired.

For many, we seek nourishing products that we can trust and align with living a more balanced life. We also know many products are filled with chemicals and fragrances that can damage skin and cause severe issues. “U.S. researchers report that one in eight of the 82, 000 ingredients used in personal care products are industrial chemicals, including carcinogens, pesticides, reproductive toxins, and hormone disruptors” – David Suzuki Foundation

Why not create your own products? Understand all the ingredients that go into your personal care products so you can feel good about what’s going onto our skin. Maybe you’re looking to make soap that's good for you and your family and that’s eco- friendly with no plastic? Or maybe you just love vegan, natural and organic products? Or maybe the thought of having control of what goes into your skin care products is empowering and feels fantastic?

In this workshop, you will master the step-by-step process of how to make soap from scratch (cold process) using all-natural ingredients that you know and trust. You’ll create 2.5 lbs of soap made for your needs infused with essential oils, herbs, and tea. Bethany will walk through essential oil knowledge to find the right ones for your skin type, and your overall needs.

Plus we’ll be crafting our own lip-balm! Learn to make fun coloured lip balms and botanical-based alternatives to petroleum-based products. Feel confident that you can do this at home and make them for friends and loved one.

During the retreat enjoy a daily breakfast such as; smoothies made from all natural and all local ingredients. Including pineapple, mangos, papaya, and honey that were harvested right at Samatahiti garden!

Plus, you’ll dine with four vegetarian lunches and dinners made by the amazing Paradise Catering Company. The food is so good you’ll be dreaming of it when you leave! And on your last day be treated to a farewell brunch after the hike!

Finally the retreat wouldn’t be complete without some amazing mind-body balancing yoga practices! Every morning Renee will lead you through a vigorous morning flow to activate your metabolism and stimulate energy so you can get the most out of your day. Every evening Bethany will lead you through a moon-lit yin practice that will work deep into your connective tissues opening your body and relaxing your nervous system for a good night’s sleep.
