Hi, I’m Bethany. Welcome to a new kind of yoga studio. I’m thrilled you’re here!
Five years ago I traded my corporate suit, 9-5 high-stress job, for yoga pants, tank tops and messy buns. Sounds pretty comfy, right? It’s been anything but, but I’m so very happy I made the decision to jump, do some free falling, and land in a space that’s truly making a difference and has been extremely rewarding. This life-changing experience of becoming an entrepreneur focused purely on health and wellness has been a roller-coaster ride with lots of surprises, and sometimes scary, turns — but it has lead me to exactly where I know I’m meant to be. On the mat, leading with my heart, teaching and sharing in the beauty of all things healing for body, mind and soul.
In 2015 I earned my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification in Puerto Rico, studying under Power Yoga leader Renee Fussner with a focus on precision-based Ashtanga and Iyengar practices. My love of Yin Yoga and acupuncture inspired me to take additional training and certification in Mexico, studying Yin Yoga combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and meditation. As well as certified in New York under Rose Erin Vaughn, building my skills in TCM, acupressure, hatha yoga, healing and human anatomy.
A passion for healing and love of yoga has led to a variety of unique programs that target and work to heal specific challenges within the body. The combination of Eastern and Western teachings fuse a number of traditional and non-traditional practices that keep classes unique, fresh and progressive, for students.
My Yin and Detox classes centre on meditation and activating meridian lines and acupressure points. These ancient traditions in a modern setting provide remarkable benefits, including increased energy, mobility, better sleep and reduced anxiety, stress and tension. My Flow and Power Yoga series gets the heart pumping, while my restorative and meditation classes provide calming visual journeys after every practice.
My teaching and courses will appeal to students who are seeking a deeper mind-body connection, are looking for ways to reduce stress and anxiety and see the value in a balanced healthy lifestyle.
