Coregeous Tune Up Workshop – Release Core and Low Back Pain

February 24, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Core and Low Back Pain Release

Overcome lower back pain, core and abdominal weakness caused by underuse, over-training, injury, or scar tissue. These 7 specialized routines that we will work through in this Coregeous Yoga Tune Up Workshop will help restore facility and function to your entire torso and back by improving biomechanics, mobility, and stability to the multiple tissues surrounding, supporting and enveloping your spine and core.

If you’ve been living with physical and emotional scars in your core, this workshop will tenderly dig into its layers and allow you to listen and talk to your body.  You will be one step further on the road to recovering the vitality of these tissues and experiencing the benefits of abdominal massage.

With the Coregeous Ball workshop we will work from the inside-out to help you refine you’re your core and the many layers within.

Not only will we release the core and abdomen, but also lower back.

Low back pain affects over 80% of us. Its causes are complex and not always easy to pinpoint. If low back pain has visited you, there are alternatives to relieve pain that don’t have the unwanted side effects of pills. In this workshop we will share self-care pain prevention (pre-hab) and self-care strategies to rid the body of discomfort. One or more of these soft-tissue conditioning moves may help to change your relationship with your back.

Why this workshop? The Coregeous Ball exercises improve the texture, mobility and contractility of the deep torso support muscles. It also helps your body to deeply relax from the stress your body experiences when in pain. Many of your back muscles connect into your abdomen (transversus abdominis, obliques). This is a “sneaky” way of massaging them without putting pressure directly on the back. Finally, back pain will often cause your breath to become tight and shallow. This move facilitates the correct motions in your chief breath muscle, the respiratory diaphragm.

Learn a little more about the Coregeous Ball Workshop benefits:

  • The COREGEOUS BALL is an inflatable air-filled sponge ball with a unique soft-stretchy “skin” that is used in conjunction with massage exercises that activate your core, stretch your psoas, improve respiratory system and target spinal health. All abdomen and back tissues relate to one another, and this special tool allows you to gently and safely access your innermost abdominal while also releasing the spine.
  • ON-DEMAND PAIN RELIEF: Pain relief can often start with an abdominal massage, and the proper tool can help activate this relief. The Coregeous Ball helps access deep abdominal layers, assisting to stimulate digestion, relax muscles and open up key respiratory function.
  • ALLEVIATE STRESS & TENSION: The Coregeous Ball puts the power of healing back in your hands. Consistent use can help alleviate stress and tension throughout your body by stimulating the vegus nerve.
  • IMPROVED MOBILITY & PERFORMANCE: Whether you are a runner, cyclist, CrossFitter, yoga enthusiast, frequent traveler or stay at home mom, you can benefit from improved mobility and performance with quicker muscles recovery times and injury prevention.

This Workshop also includes a guided 20 minute meditation at the end. Led by  Yoga and Meditation Instructor Bethany Lee. The Coregeous Tune Up portion will be led by the amazing and kind soul Julie Fasan – a registered Yoga Instructor and Massage Therapist for over 20 years. She will equip you with the tools you need to focus on a regular at-home practice that relieves stress, tension, and pain.
